A joint workshop of FP7 STARGRID (Standards Hub for Smart Grid Industries) project and the Smart Grids European Technology Platform was hold on the 16 May in Brussels.
The workshop was the starting point of an open consultation process of the industry, which will be concluded in a consolidated stakeholder statement that will be brought to the European and international standardisation bodies and regulators as well as to the European Commission.
The workshop comprised of three sessions: “Smart Metering”, “Voltage Control and DG integration” and “Demand Response”. Each session included presentations from the stakeholders followed by round table discussions on the standardisation requirements, on gaps of existing standards and on the expected future developments.
Energy@home was invited at the Session on Demand Response, represented by dr. Emilio Simeone from Fly-by.
